History:

Karachi was originally a small fishing village along the Indian Ocean. In 1839, the British occupied Karachi and designated it as the army headquarters. In 1843, Karachi established shipping with Multan on the upper Indus River. Since then, Karachi has become the main part of the Indus River Basin.
